Fighting herpes virus - Herpes Simplex: symptoms, transmission, treatment and the beneficial effects of L-Lysine.
The herpes simplex virus continues to be a fascinating issue in the medical world. It is an infection that persists in the body throughout life, periodically reactivating and causing a variety of symptoms. Millions of people around the world struggle with this virus, which attacks various areas of the body. There are two main types of Herpes Simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2.
The main types of Herpes Simplex virus
HSV-1: Herpes of the mouth
This type of virus causes herpetic lesions around the mouth, known as oral herpes. However, it can also appear in other areas, such as the eyes or other parts of the body.
HSV-2: Genital infection
The HSV-2 virus is associated with genital infections and is known as genital herpes. It is a chronic form of the virus, significantly affecting the lives of those affected.
Symptoms and areas of herpes outbreaks
Symptoms of Herpes Simplex virus are varied, including:
- Small red nodules with colorless fluid in the genital area.
- Itching or pain in the genital area.
- Unpleasant genital discharge .
- Redness of the skin in the genital area.
- Burning during urination . False
- bleeding outside of menstruation .
Areas of occurrence include vaginal area, genitals, buttocks, anus, cervix in women and penis, scrotum, anus, thighs in men. A weakened immune system, surgical interventions and stress can promote recurrence of symptoms.
Transmission of the herpes simplex virus
The virus is transmitted through direct contact, especially during oral or sexual contact. Even kissing can transmit the oral herpes virus. It is important to note that genital herpes is not transmitted through objects or surfaces.
Vertical transmission, meaning from mother to child during childbirth, is also a risk. Undiagnosed and untreated infections can lead to serious complications, facilitating the transmission of other diseases, such as HIV.
Complications and spread of infection
Untreated genital herpes can lead to serious complications, including facilitating the transmission of other sexually transmitted infections, such as HIV. The lesions caused by herpes can create new pathways for other viruses to enter the body.
Diagnosis and treatment of herpes
Diagnosis of genital herpes is based on a medical examination and blood tests to detect antibody levels. Although there is no drug that completely eliminates the virus, antiviral drugs and L-lysine can control symptoms and prevent recurrences.
Preventing infection
Preventing genital herpes infections is key:
- Using condoms every time you have sexual contact.
- Limiting the number of sexual partners.
- Adhering to hygiene practices .
L-Lysine from Calivita
L-lysine, naturally unavailable to the human body, is becoming a key element in the fight against herpes. Studies indicate that supplementation with this amino acid can reduce the severity and frequency of herpes episodes.
Calivita's L-Lysine Plus, combined with antiviral treatment, can be an effective solution. However, it is advisable to consult a doctor before starting any therapy.
In light of scientific discoveries, L-lysine is becoming the hope in the fight against herpes. I hope this guide provides you with the knowledge you need about transmission, symptoms, treatment and hope for an effective therapy.
