NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT: Flavamed, 30 mg, tablets

QUANTITATIVE QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION: 1 tablet contains 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. Excipients of known effect One tablet contains 40 mg of lactose monohydrate.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULA Tablet. White, round, bilaterally flat tablets with beveled edges and a dividing line on one side. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Flavamed - INDICATIONS FOR USE.

Mucolytic treatment in acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases with disorders of mucus production and transport. Flavamed is indicated for use in children over 6 years of age, adolescents and adults.

Flavamed - Dosage

Always take Flavamed according to the instructions in this patient leaflet.

If in doubt, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

The following information applies if your doctor has not prescribed any other use of Flavamed. Follow the instructions for use of the drug, otherwise the drug Flavamed will not work properly!

The recommended dose is:

Children aged 6 to 12 years:

Single dose: ½ tablet 2 to 3 times a day (equivalent to 15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride 2 - 3 times a day).

Maximum daily dose: 1½ tablets (equivalent to 45 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride).

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:

Single dose: During the first 2 - 3 days, 1 tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride 3 times a day); thereafter, 1 tablet twice a day (equivalent to 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride twice a day).

Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets (equivalent to 90 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride).

Warning:
In adults, the daily dose can be increased to 2 tablets twice daily.

Method of use
Flavamed drug is best swallowed whole after a meal, drinking an adequate amount of liquid (such as water, tea or fruit juice).The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Duration of use
Without consulting a doctor, Flavamed should not be taken for more than 4 - 5 days.If, after 4 - 5 days, the complaints do not decrease or even worsen, you should immediately see a doctor!If you feel that the effect of Flavamed is too strong or too weak, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Use of a larger than recommended dose of Flavamed drug.
To date, no specific overdose symptoms have been reported in humans. Based on reports of accidental overdose and/or incorrect dosage, the observed symptoms are consistent with known side effects of ambroxol hydrochloride used in recommended doses and symptomatic treatment may be necessary. A physician should be contacted.

Omission of use of the drug Flavamed
If you miss a dose of the drug or take too small a dose of the drug, take the next prescribed dose of the drug at the usual time. Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose.If you have any further doubts about the use of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Flavamed - INDICATIONS.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1 of the Summary of Product Characteristics. Due to the high content of the active substance, Flavamed is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
