Mucolytic drugs may damage the gastric mucosa, therefore the product should be used with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease. In the event of abundant purulent discharge and fever, as well as in the case of chronic bronchial or lung disease, you should consider continuing treatment with this product, verify the diagnosis and use other medications, e.g. antibiotics. Patients with bronchial asthma must be closely monitored during treatment with carbocisteine ​​due to the possibility of bronchospasm. If this symptom occurs, carbocisteine ​​should be discontinued immediately. Carbocisteine ​​should not be administered to patients with reduced expectoration unless respiratory physical therapy is provided during treatment.The product contains cochineal red (E124), which may cause allergic reactions. The product contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed reactions). The medicinal product contains 7.6 to 8.1 mg sodium per ml, equivalent to 0.38 to 0.41% of the WHO recommended maximum daily intake of 2 g of sodium for adults.
