The medicinal product is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Do not use in patients with brain damage and mental illness. Patients with gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn) should avoid using peppermint leaf products due to the possibility of worsening heartburn. Patients with gallstones and other biliary tract diseases should be especially careful when using peppermint leaf products. During treatment, intense exposure to UV radiation should be avoided. This medicinal product contains 1,500 mg of alcohol (ethanol) in every 2.5 ml of liquid (4,500 mg in 7.5 ml of liquid). The amount of alcohol in a dose of this product (2.5 ml) is equivalent to 38 ml of beer or 15 ml of wine (113 ml of beer or 45 ml of wine per 7.5 ml of liquid).A dose of 2.5 ml (7.5 ml) of fluid administered to adolescents aged 12 years weighing 40 kg will result in an ethanol exposure of 38 mg/kg. (113 mg/kg body weight), which may increase blood alcohol concentration (BAC) by approximately 6.3 mg/100 ml (18.8 mg/100 ml). A dose of 2.5 ml (7.5 ml) of fluid administered to a 70 kg adult will result in an ethanol exposure of 21 mg/kg. (64 mg/kg body weight), which may increase blood alcohol concentration (BAC) by approximately 3.6 mg/100 ml (10.7 mg/100 ml). The alcohol in this product may change the effect of other medicines.
