Description
Composition and form: Each gram of gel contains 10 mg of ciclopirox olamine (Ciclopirox olaminum). Excipients with known effect: ethanol, propylene glycol (E1520), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216).
Each gram of gel contains 160 mg of alcohol (ethanol). Gel.
Indications: Treatment of mycosis of smooth and hairy skin, mycosis of feet and lower legs caused by: Trichophyton rubrum;
Trichophyton mentagrophytes; Epidermophyton floccosum; Microsporum canis; Microsporum gypseum; Candida albicans;
Candida tropicalis; Candida krusei; Candida parapsilosis; Cryptococcus neoformans; Aspergillus fumigatus; Malassezia furfur (formerly Pityrosporum ovale).

If hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue treatment and contact your doctor immediately. Itchy infected areas should not be scratched. Protect your eyes from contact with the product. The product is not intended for the treatment of vaginal mycosis. Avoid wearing clothes and footwear that are impermeable to moisture and heat. After washing and bathing, the affected areas should be dried thoroughly. Clothing that comes into contact with the affected skin,towels and sponges should be changed daily and washed at 90ºC (disposable towels are recommended). Do not use acidic soaps, as this promotes the growth of Candida fungi. Before starting treatment with Pirolam, it is recommended that patients particularly susceptible to fungal infections (with peripheral circulation disorders, diabetes, immune disorders), patients with skin diseases such as psoriasis or other chronic skin diseases consult a doctor. Special warnings regarding excipients. Ethanol. The product contains 160 mg of alcohol (ethanol) in each gram of gel. May cause burning of damaged skin. Methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate. Due to the content of methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, the product may cause allergic reactions (possible delayed reactions). Propylene glycol. The product contains 110 mg of propylene glycol in each gram of gel. Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.
