PlantagoPharm is indicated for use in adults and children over 3 years of age.

Storage and use
Method and route of administration
Oral administration. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the following regimen should be adopted for the use of the drug:
children aged 3 to 4 years:
- Take 3 times a day 5 ml of syrup,
children aged 5 to 11 years:
- take 3 times a day 10 ml of syrup,
adolescents over 12 years of age and adults:
-take 3 to 4 times a day for 10 ml of syrup.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature.

1 What is the drug PlantagoPharm and for what purpose it is used.
The drug PlantagoPharm is a herbal medicinal product in the form of syrup, which contains in its composition an ethanolic extract of the leaf of plantain.
The drug PlantagoPharm is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use in specific indications, which are based solely on long-term use.

Indications for use
Traditional herbal medicinal product used as a soothing agent in the symptomatic treatment of irritation of the mouth and throat and associated dry cough.

2 Information important before using PlantagoPharm.
When not to use PlantagoPharm drug
- In case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.

Warnings and precautions
Discuss with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking PlantagoPharm.
If symptoms persist, worsen after 7 days, experience shortness of breath, fever or purulent discharge, consult a doctor.
Take special care when using PlantagoPharm, as the drug contains sucrose, as well as glucose, sodium benzoate (E 211) and ethanol.
The drug product contains 1.8% (m/m) ethanol (alcohol).
This drug contains 115 mg of alcohol (ethanol) in a 5 ml dose or 230 mg in a 10 ml dose.
The amount of alcohol in 5 ml of this drug is equivalent to less than 3 ml of beer or 2 ml of wine.
The amount of alcohol in 10 ml of this drug is equivalent to less than 6 ml of beer or 3 ml of wine.
The small amount of alcohol in this drug will not cause noticeable effects.
The drug contains sucrose and glucose (derived from maltodextrin).
Diabetics before taking PlantagoPharm should take into account the fact that a single dose of 5ml contains 3.48 g of sucrose, equivalent to 0.29 bread units, and a single dose of 10 ml contains 6.96 g of sucrose, equivalent to 0.58 bread units.
If you have previously been diagnosed with intolerance to certain sugars, you should contact your doctor before taking the drug.
The drug contains sodium benzoate (E 211).

Children
Do not use in children under 3 years of age.

PlantagoPharm and other drugs
The effect of plantain leaf extract on the simultaneous intake of other drugs has not been observed.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medications you are currently or recently taking, as well as medications you plan to take.

Use of PlantagoPharm with food and drink
Food does not affect the effect of the drug.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and effects on fertility
The safety of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Due to the lack of sufficient data, the use of the product during this time is not recommended. The effect of the drug on fertility has not been established.

Driving and operating machinery
When used according to the recommended dosage, the drug has no effect on driving and operating machinery. Significantly overdosed can cause the detection of alcohol in the exhaled air.

3 How to use PlantagoPharm drug.

5 How to store the drug PlantagoPharm.
Keep the drug out of sight and reach of children, store at a temperature below 25ºC. After the first opening of the bottle, store at a temperature below 25ºC.
Do not use PlantagoPharm drug after the expiration date on the package. Expiration date after the first opening of the bottle: 3 months.
Expiration date means the last day of the stated month.
Medicines should not be disposed of in sewage or household waste containers. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that you no longer use. Such treatment will help protect the environment.

- Excipients are: sucrose, black currant flavor concentrate (contains maltodextrin (glucose source), sodium benzoate (E 211), eugenol, linalool and geraniol), potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
Ethanol content in the drug product: 1.8% m/m.

The immediate packaging of PlantagoPharm is a bottle of 100 and 200 ml, made of colored glass with a polyethylene cap. The bottle together with a graduated measuring cup is placed in a cardboard box.
