Action description:
Maalox is a combined drug with local action to neutralize excess hydrochloric acid of gastric juice, tightening and protecting the gastric mucosa of the duodenum. It does not cause excessive neutralization of stomach contents and secondary stimulation of acid secretion.
Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of disorders related to hyperacidity occurring in gastritis, reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus in the course of hernia of the esophageal diaphragm, indigestion, and as an adjunct in gastric and duodenal ulcers.

Usual dose: 1 tablespoon (10 ml) approximately 90 minutes after a meal or during pain.
