Description
Composition and form: Each capsule contains 200 mg of all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate (int-rac-α-Tocopherylis acetas). Excipient with known effect: ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214). Each capsule contains 0.26 mg of ethyl parahydroxybenzoate. Flexible capsule.
Indications: Treatment of vitamin E deficiency caused by long-term improper nutrition and metabolic disorders. Supportive in atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and its secondary prevention, and in all diseases whose etiology is related to oxidative stress.

The product should be used with caution in people taking concomitant oral anticoagulants, estrogens or vitamin K. There have been reports that large doses of vitamin E may lead to increased bleeding in patients with vitamin K deficiency or in patients taking vitamin K antagonists. these should have their prothrombin time and prothrombin ratio (INR) monitored. Vitaminum E Medana contains ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed reactions).
