Description
Composition and form: Each ml (about 27 drops) contains 300 mg of all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate (int-rac-α Tocopherylis acetas). Each drop contains approximately 11 mg of all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate. Excipient with known effect: purified peanut oil. Oral fluid.
Indications: Vitamin E is used to treat deficiency states due to long-term, improper nutrition and metabolism disorders. Deficiencies may be associated with hereditary disorders of lipid metabolism, such as abetalipoproteinemia, malabsorption syndrome or cystic fibrosis. It is recommended in the adjunctive therapy of diseases of etiology associated with increased production of free radicals, e.g. atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease; thrombophlebitis; atherosclerotic and hypertensive retinopathy.

The product should be used with caution in people taking oral anticoagulants, estrogens or vitamin K. There have been reports that large doses of vitamin E may lead to increased bleeding in patients with vitamin K deficiency or in patients taking vitamin K antagonists.Prothrombin time and prothrombin ratio (INR) should be monitored in these patients.
