Description
Biaron® vitamin D 400 IU in drops is a preparation for supplementing the diet of infants, children and adults with vitamin D. Vitamin D is needed for the proper growth and development of bones in children and supports the proper functioning of the immune system.
Vitamin D supports:

- proper functioning of muscles,
- maintaining healthy teeth and bones,
- maintaining proper calcium levels in the blood,
- proper absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus.

Storage and use
Recommended intake:
- newborns born prematurely.
Supplementation should be carried out under the supervision of a doctor.
a) newborns born ≤32. week of pregnancy - 2 drops (800 IU) daily from the first days of life (if oral feeding is possible), regardless of the method of feeding.
b) newborns born in the 33-36th week of pregnancy - 1 drop (400 IU) daily from the first days of life, regardless of the method of feeding.
- full-term newborns and infants 0-12 months - 1 drop (400 IU) daily from the first days of life.
- children 1-10 years old - 2 drops (800 IU) daily*
- adolescents aged 11-18 and adults - 2 to 5 drops (800-2000 IU) daily*.
*depending on body weight and vitamin D intake in the diet, all year round¹
¹ In healthy children and adults who spend at least 15 minutes in the sun with exposed forearms and lower legs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. without sunscreen in the period from May to September, supplementation is not necessary, although it is still recommended and safe.
