Indications - When do we use the drug Apap Night?

Short-term treatment of pain including: headache, osteoarticular pain, muscle pain, toothache, menstrual pain, neuralgia, pain associated with cold and flu, causing difficulty
in falling asleep.


What is the composition of the drug Apap Night?

1 film-coated tablet contains as active substances:
500 mg of paracetamol (Paracetamolum) and 25 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride (Diphenhydramini hydrochloridum).


What are the contraindications to the use of the drug Apap Night?

- Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients of the preparation.
- Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.
- Viral hepatitis.
- Use of MAO inhibitors and the period up to 2 weeks after their withdrawal.
- Glaucoma.
- Prostate gland proliferation.
- Porphyria.
- Bronchial asthma in the exacerbation phase.
- Do not use in children under 12 years of age.


Apap Night - what side effects may occur?

The incidence of adverse reactions was classified as follows:

Paracetamol

Blood and lymphatic system disorders:

Very rare: anemia, bone marrow suppression, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia, neutropenia;

Immune system disorders:

Rare: hypersensitivity reactions, i.e. urticaria, erythema, rash (including generalized), edema;
Very rare: laryngeal edema, angioedema, anaphylactic shock, Stevens - Johnson syndrome (bullous erythema multiforme), toxic epidermal necrolysis;

Nervous system disorders:

Very rarely: dizziness;

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders:

Very rarely: bronchospasm in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;

Gastrointestinal disorders:

Rare: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, digestive disorders;
Very rare: hematuria, acute and chronic pancreatitis;

Liver and biliary tract disorders:

Very rare: acute liver damage usually occurring as a result of overdose, liver failure, hepatic necrosis, jaundice;

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders:

Rare: pruritus, sweating;
Very rarely: pigmentary purpura;

Renal and urinary tract disorders:

Very rare: renal papillary necrosis during long-term use; Nephropathies, tubulopathies.

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride

Immune system disorders:

Rare: hypersensitivity reactions, i.e. rash, urticaria, edema, angioedema;

Mental disorders:

Rare: confusion, restlessness;

Nervous system disorders:

Frequent: drowsiness, attention deficit disorder, dizziness;

Eye disorders:

Rare: blurred vision;

Cardiac disorders:

Rare: tachycardia, arrhythmia;

Respiratory, Thoracic and Mediastinal Disorders:

Frequent: dryness of the mucous membranes of the mouth, throat and nose;

Gastrointestinal disorders:

Rare: gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, vomiting;

Renal and urinary tract disorders:
Rare: urinary retention.


Apap Night - drug dosage.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 or 2 tablets 30 minutes before bedtime.
Patients should not use the drug for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.


Apap Night - what precautions should be taken?

The use of the drug product by people with liver failure, alcohol abuse and starvation poses a risk of liver damage. Use with caution in people with renal insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, epilepsy , myasthenia gravis , overactive thyroid gland, pyloric stenosis and the elderly.

Do not drink alcohol during intake.
The medicinal product should be used only before bedtime.


Taking the drug Apap Night during pregnancy

Apap Night medicinal product should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
