Aphtin - description and indications Aphtin contains sodium tetraborate with antifungal, disinfectant and astringent properties, which is traditionally used in oral thrush. Aphtin gently dries the inflamed mucous membrane, reducing discomfort. It is a safe drug for emergency use and can be used in children over one year of age. Indications: drug intended for topical use in oral thrush. Action Sodium tetraborate as an antiseptic substance destroys microorganisms and prevents their reproduction. The mechanism of action of sodium tetraborate is related to the local increase in pH by hydroxide ions that are released during the dissociation process. Composition - what ingredients does Aphtin contain Composition: sodium tetraborate, glycerol. Dosage - how to use Aphtin drug is intended for topical use on the oral mucosa. Apply a small amount of liquid to a cotton pad and brush the affected areas several times a day. The medicine should not be used for a long time. In children over 1 year of age, use for no longer than 3-5 days. Contraindications hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, interruption of the oral mucosa. Special Warnings / Precautions

Interactions

Aphtin drugs that cause mucosal congestion increase the absorption of boron compounds into the systemic circulation.
