Aphtin comes as a solution for use in the mouth. Borax - the active substance of the drug has a mild antiseptic effect. Disinfects the mucous membranes of the oral cavity.
Aphtin Indications
In the treatment of thrush - a yeast infection of the oral mucosa.

Aphtin Dosage
Brush the affected areas several times a day.
Do not use long term.
Use in children over 1 year of age, no longer than 3-5 days.
Use in children under 1 year of age after consulting a doctor.
Use in children and adolescents
In children under 1 year of age, the drug should be used in consultation with a doctor.
Aphtin Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to the excipient or to boric acid.
- Extensive damage to the mucous membranes.
- Should not be used in people with severe renal impairment due to the possibility of increased damage to the renal tubules.
- However, the risk of such effects occurring after local administration, e.g. to the skin or oral mucosa, is minimal.

Important before using Aphtin
Warnings
This is medicine. For safety, use it according to the leaflet included in the package. Do not exceed the maximum dose of the drug. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use the medicine on extensive damage to the oral mucosa.
If changes occur where the solution is applied,the drug should be discontinued.
Do not swallow.
Use with caution in people with renal impairment. Do not use for long periods.
Pregnancy and lactation
The medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Overdose
An overdose of Aphtinu applied topically is unlikely. If you use too much medicine, wash it off the mucous membrane with water or rinse your mouth and tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Interactions with other drugs
While using Aphthin, do not use other medications topically in the mouth, rinse your mouth with oral hygiene fluids or chew gum.
Adverse effects
Like all medicines, Aphtin can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
- If the drug is used for a long time on damaged oral mucosa, rash, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, menstrual disorders, convulsions, anemia may occur.
