The drug has an effect on many microorganisms (bactericidal, fungicidal, selective virucidal and antiprotozoal).
The drug is indicated for disinfection of the skin before injection, blood collection, needle biopsy, transfusion, disinfection of the skin and mucous membranes before surgery, for aseptic dressing of wounds, treatment of bacterial and fungal infections and complete and partial disinfection of the patient before surgery.

The medicine may cause skin irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions. In cases of skin irritation,contact dermatitis or drug hypersensitivity, discontinue use of the drug.
Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes.
Particular caution is recommended in patients with thyroid diseases, renal dysfunction or those taking lithium preparations at the same time.
Newborns and infants up to 6 months of age - can only be used on doctor's orders.
