Bilobil Forte - description and indications

Bilobil Forte is used as an aid in the treatment and prevention of cerebral circulation disorders, peripheral circulation disorders of the limbs accompanied by a feeling of cold, tingling, sensory disorders and intermittent claudication.

Operation

Bilobil Forte reduces the tension of the vascular muscles, mainly in the brain, increasing the amount of oxygen and glucose in the central nervous system, which leads to an increase in the body's physical and mental performance. It inhibits the aggregation of erythrocytes and the factor that activates platelets, leading to the inhibition of atherosclerotic changes, as a result of which the arterial, venous and capillary circulation of blood vessels improves.

Composition - what ingredients does Bilobil Forte contain

1 capsule Bilobil Forte contains 80 mg (as quantified, purified dry extract) of Ginkgo biloba  L., folium (gingko leaves) (35 -67:1), which corresponds to: 17.6-21.6 mg of flavonoids in the form of flavonoid glycosides, 2.24-2.72 mg of ginkgolides A, B and C, 2.08-2.56 mg of bilobalide. First extraction solvent: acetone 60% (m/m).

Dosage - how to use Bilobil Forte

The recommended dose for adults and the elderly  is 1 capsule 2-3 times/day. The maximum daily dose is 240 mg. Duration of use : treatment should last at least 8 weeks. If after 3 months of using Bilobil Forte there is no improvement or if symptoms worsen, you should consult a doctor to determine whether to continue the treatment is justified. Children and adolescents . There is no indication for use in children and adolescents.

Notes

Table should be swallowed with water. They can be taken regardless of meals.

Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Notes and warnings about Bilobil Forte

This is a medicine. For safety, use it according to the leaflet included in the package. Do not exceed the maximum dose of the drug. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Special warnings / Precautions

If hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use of the drug. The preparation is not recommended for use in children. Bilobil Forte should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Interactions

Do not use together with ASA and anticoagulants due to the prolongation of bleeding time.

Pregnancy and lactation

So far, there is no clinical data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Animal studies showed no harmful effects of the drug on the fetus, although its use is not recommended for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

Adverse effects

Very rare: gastrointestinal disorders, headache, hypersensitivity skin reactions (itching, erythema).

Overdose

There are no reports of symptoms of an overdose of ginkgo extract.
