D-Vitum 400 IU Description

D-Vitum 400 IU - dietary supplement in the form of drops. The product is intended for newborns, infants and children.

Vitamin D  is needed for proper growth and development of bones in children. In addition, it helps maintain healthy bones and teeth and proper functioning of muscles. Vitamin D also helps in the proper absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus, in maintaining the proper level of calcium in the blood, and in the proper functioning of the immune system.

Indications: Prevention of rickets

Supplementation  with vitamin D is recommended from the first days of life, regardless of the newborn's feeding method (breast/modified milk). In the period from birth to 6 months of age, vitamin D supplementation at a dose of 400 IU/day is recommended. In the period from 6 to 12 months of age, vitamin D supplementation is recommended at a dose of 400-600 IU/day, depending on the vitamin D supply in the diet.
