Vitamin D also helps in the proper absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus, in maintaining the proper level of calcium in the blood, and in the proper functioning of the immune system. Indications: Supplementation with vitamin D is recommended from the first days of life, regardless of the newborn's feeding method (breastfeeding/modified milk). In the period from birth to 6 months of age, vitamin D supplementation at a dose of 400 IU/day is recommended. In the period from 6 to 12 months of age, vitamin D supplementation is recommended at a dose of 400-600 IU/day, depending on the vitamin D supply in the diet.
