NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT: Flavamed, 60 mg, effervescent tablets

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION: One effervescent tablet contains 60 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. Excipients of known effect One tablet of the medicinal product contains 110.00 mg of lactose, 126.5 mg of sodium, 29.29 mg of sorbitol and 0.78 mg of benzyl alcohol. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM: Effervescent tablet. Round, white tablets, 18 mm in diameter, with a dividing line on one side. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Flavamed - INDICATIONS FOR USE.

Mucolytic treatment during wet cough occurring in the course of acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases. Flavamed is indicated for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Flavamed - Dosage

This drug should always be used exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The following information applies if your doctor has not prescribed any other use of Flavamed. Follow the instructions for use of the drug, otherwise the drug Flavamed will not work properly.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:

Single dose: During the first 2 - 3 days, ½ effervescent tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride 3 times a day); thereafter, ½ effervescent tablet twice a day (equivalent to 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride twice a day).

Maximum daily dose: 1½ eff ervescent tablets (equivalent to 90 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride).

Warning:
In adults, the daily dose can be increased to 1 tablet of the drug twice daily.The safety and efficacy of Flavamed in children under 12 years of age have not yet been determined.

Method of useFor oral use. Dissolve the effervescent tablets after a meal, in a glass of water, and then drink the resulting solution.The effervescent tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Duration of use
Without consulting a doctor, Flavamed should not be used for more than 4 - 5 days.If, after 4 - 5 days, the discomfort does not decrease or worsens, you should immediately see a doctor!If you feel that the effect of Flavamed is too strong or too weak, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Flavamed - INDICATIONS.

Do not use Flavamed in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1 of the Summary of Product Characteristics. Due to the high content of the active substance and because the safety and efficacy of Flavamed in children under 12 years of age have not yet been determined, Flavamed is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
