The product should be used in accordance with the indicated dosage, caution should be exercised: if the patient is immobilized; if you are taking thiazide diuretics; if you have kidney stones; if you have heart disease; if you are taking digitalis glycosides; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking large doses of calcium at the same time. The daily requirement and method of administering vitamin D in children should be determined individually and verified each time during periodic examinations, especially in the first months of life; in infants with small anterior parietal dimensions from birth.The total dose of vitamin D in patients consists of the vitamin D content of other medicinal products taken and foods rich in vitamin D, as well as the vitamin produced by the body as a result of exposure to solar radiation. In Poland, sufficient exposure to sunlight is possible only in the period from May to September and requires at least: 15-30 minutes for children aged 4-10; in adolescents and adults, 30-45 minutes of exposure to the sun a day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with exposed forearms and lower legs, without using creams with UV filters. Due to age-related restrictions on sunbathing, it is recommended to take vitamin D all year round in newborns, infants (up to 1 year of age) and children aged 1 to 4 years. Patients taking other medications, dietary supplements containing vitamin D (cholecalciferol), calcitriol or other metabolites or analogues of vitamin D should consult a doctor before taking Ibuvit D3 Kids to select the appropriate dose. In case of long-term use of vitamin D, especially daily doses significantly exceeding the recommended doses, calcium levels in serum and urine should be monitored. Too large, long-term doses of vitamin D or shock doses may cause chronic hypervitaminosis. While using the product, it is recommended to periodically monitor the concentration of calcium and phosphates in the blood and urine.
