Description
Composition and form: Each hard capsule contains a minimum of 10 billion CFU of Lactobacillus rhamnosus rods: Lactobacillus rhamnosus Pen strain - 40%; Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain E/N - 40%; Lactobacillus rhamnosus Oxy strain - 20%; Bacteria resistant to: amoxicillin, ampicillin, azlocillin, cefepime, cefotaxime, cefradine, ceftazidime, cefuroxime, doxycycline, erythromycin, gentamicin, imipenem, clindamycin, cloxacillin, colistin, cotrimoxazole, nalidixic acid, meropenem, metronidazole, neomycin, netilmicin, penicillin, piperacillin , streptomycin, teicoplanin, tobramycin, vancomycin. CFU – Colony Forming Unit. Excipients with known effect: sucrose, lactose, sunset yellow (E110). Each capsule contains 115 mg of sucrose and 83 mg of lactose. Hard, cellulose capsules, consisting of two cylindrical parts. Before reconstitution, the powder in the capsule appears as loose, crushed particles ranging in color from light to dark beige. After reconstitution, a homogeneous suspension is formed, without visible impurities.
Indications: Post-antibiotic enteritis with particular emphasis on adjunctive treatment of pseudomembranous colitis; as a treatment mainly for recurrent pseudomembranous colitis. Prevention of traveler's diarrhea. Supportive treatment during and after antibiotic therapy.

There is a risk of bacteremia (sepsis). Isolated cases of infective endocarditis in a seriously ill patient caused by Lactobacillus rhamnosus infection have been described. Treatment with a product containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus may, in exceptional cases, cause septic infections in high-risk patients, mainly in premature and full-term children with defects or impaired organ function. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or the sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicinal product. The product should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the total lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. The product contains sunset yellow (E110) - it may cause allergic reactions.
