The product should not be used in patients taking oral antidiabetic drugs from the sulfonylurea group due to the risk of increased hypoglycemic effect and in patients taking antigouty drugs. The product should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function and chronic renal failure. In patients with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and/or systemic lupus erythematosus and liver failure, the product should be used with caution because the toxicity of salicylates increases;liver function should be monitored in these patients. Taking the product at the lowest effective dose for the shortest period necessary to relieve symptoms reduces the risk of side effects. Acetylsalicylic acid should be discontinued 5 to 7 days before planned surgery due to the risk of prolonged bleeding time, both during and after surgery. Caution should be exercised when administering methotrexate at doses less than 15 mg per week due to the increased toxic effects of methotrexate on the bone marrow. Concomitant use with methotrexate at doses greater than 15 mg per week is contraindicated. Use with caution in the case of: uterine hemorrhage, excessive menstrual bleeding, use of an intrauterine contraceptive device, hypertension and heart failure. You should not drink alcohol during treatment with acetylsalicylic acid due to the increased risk of damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa. In elderly patients, the product should be used in lower doses and at longer intervals due to the increased risk of side effects in this group of patients. The product should be used with caution in the first and second trimester of pregnancy. Acetylsalicylic acid may impair fertility in women. When administering acetylsalicylic acid to children, there is a risk of Reye's syndrome. Reye syndrome is a very rare disease that affects the brain and liver and can be fatal. Even in small doses, acetylsalicylic acid reduces the excretion of uric acid, which may trigger a gout attack in predisposed patients. Long-term use may be harmful unless used under medical supervision. Long-term use of painkillers, especially those containing several active substances, may lead to severe renal dysfunction and renal failure. The product contains cochineal red, lake (E124). The product may cause allergic reactions. The product contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium per tablet, i.e. the product is essentially 'sodium-free'.
