Pregna Plus is a dietary supplement containing a carefully selected set of nutrients in amounts adapted to the needs of pregnant and breastfeeding women.
The ingredients whose positive effect has been clearly proven include folic acid, polyunsaturated fatty acids, iron, iodine and vitamin D¹. The preparation contains easily absorbable iron in the form of iron (II) bisglycinate. In addition, the composition of the Pregna Plus product has been enriched with MetaPregnaFolic (calcium L-methylfolate), an ingredient that is a biologically available form of folate, making it easier and faster absorbed.
Pregna Plus was developed according to Evidence Based Medicine standards. It contains ingredients recommended by the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians: folic acid, iron, iodine, vitamin D and DHA from the omega-3 family.
The ingredients of the Pregna Plus dietary supplement perform many important functions in the body, which physiologically influence the proper course of pregnancy. Supplemental intake of folic acid increases maternal folate levels. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus². There are many risk factors for developing neural tube defects and changing one of them may or may not have a beneficial effect. Iron takes part in the process of cell division and helps in the production of red blood cells. The source of DHA in the product is highly purified oil from fatty marine fish obtained using the PureMax technology.
In accordance with the position of the Polish Group of Experts on supplementation of DHA and other omega-3 fatty acids in the pregnant and breastfeeding population, DHA supplementation is recommended to ensure proper resources of this ingredient in the mother's body and ensure its proper distribution to the fetus. Until birth, the baby absorbs the necessary amounts of DHA from the mother's body, and after delivery, the newborn baby receives it with her food.
