Alugastrin® 3 FORTE is a medical device indicated in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, which, through the mechanical action of the ingredients contained in the product, prevents the passage of stomach acids towards the esophagus, reduces stomach hyperacidity, protects the gastric mucosa and esophagus against the irritating effects of heartburn and acid reflux. stomach contents.

Sodium alginate, combined with carbonates, prevents the reflux of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus through a physical mechanism.

In the presence of stomach acid, alginate changes its physical state, becomes a gel, and carbonate reacts to form carbon dioxide. A protective gel layer that remains on the surface of the stomach contents prevents the reflux of acidic stomach contents
and blocks reflux towards the esophagus. The protective effect of the gastric mucosa and esophagus is due to the mucoadhesive properties (coating the mucous membrane, resulting in the formation of a protective layer). Mucosave®, which is an extract from Prickly Pear leaves and European Olive leaves, combines the mucoadhesive effect of polysaccharides with the protective effect of polyphenols from olive oil. The presence of carbonate also helps to reduce excessive hyperacidity of gastric juice.

How to use Alugastrin 3 FORTE?
Shake the sachet first to loosen the powder. Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass and half fill it with water (still), stir vigorously until a homogeneous suspension is obtained, and then drink. It is recommended to take one sachet in the evening before going to bed. The second sachet can be taken during the day, after a meal, if necessary.The maximum recommended treatment is 30 days.
