The medicinal product should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment, especially those who are dehydrated and treated with high doses of acyclovir or who are concurrently receiving other drugs that may damage the kidneys. When administering acyclovir, the patient should be provided with adequate fluid intake to avoid the risk of renal damage. The medicinal product is not recommended for use in patients with renal impairment and in elderly patients. and in pregnant and breastfeeding women, without prior consultation with a doctor.
