Maalox is a combined drug with local action to neutralize excess hydrochloric acid in gastric juice, astringent and protecting the gastric and duodenal mucosa. It does not cause excessive neutralization of stomach contents and secondary stimulation of acid secretion.
Indications: Symptomatic treatment of disorders related to hyperacidity occurring in gastritis, reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus in the course of hiatal hernia, dyspepsia, gastric and duodenal ulcers.
